Having creative interests in a wide variety of subjects has always made me feel slightly embarrassed. I’ve found myself stuck between two opposing concepts having to do with work and career. The first is a practical and self-sacrificing approach, find a job that pays in order to support yourself —interest in said job be damned. The second, seemingly more self-indulgent and less obtainable, is related to that old adage of choosing a job that you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.

Bureau of Interiors is my solution to these internal conflicts. The realization that I ..we.. can be in more control of our lives and how we live them. It’s my goal, and hope, that this space will foster my interests and shed light on the connection of these subjects.
